Police set a trap for Nanle Country Christian Church Pastor Zhang Shaojie more than a decade ago.
Officials asked to meet Pastor Zhang at his church on November 16th, 2013.
A dozen officers entered the church in Henan province, tied up Zhang...and took him into custody without showing any sort of formal documents!
Pastor Zhang was sentenced to 12 years in prison on July 4th, 2014 for a fake fraud charge and for "gathering a crowd to disrupt the public order."
News about Pastor Zhang has been sparse, but we did learn that he was transferred in January 2021 to Xinmi Prison in Henan to serve the last five years of his sentence.
We remember Pastor Zhang on the ten-year 'anniversary' of his unjust detention by Communist Party authorities! Please pray for Pastor Zhang, his family, and loved ones.
