1 CHRONICLES 29:11
“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore You as the one who is over all things.”
1 Chronicles 29:11 is a prayer from King David that affirms GOD’s absolute supremacy over all things, acknowledging that He possesses greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. It teaches that everything in heaven and on earth belongs to GOD, He rules over all, and He is the ultimate head of the kingdom. The verse is a foundational statement of worship and trust in GOD’s complete authority and ownership. It explicitly states that "everything in heaven and earth is Yours" and "Yours is the kingdom.” This is a declaration that GOD created and owns all things. The Psalmist attributes power, might, and the ability to exalt and give strength to all people to GOD’s hand, reinforcing that all authority and strength originated from Him. As a prayer, the verse expresses a humble and worshipful response to this truth. It leads to the conclusion that since all is from GOD, humans can only give thanks and praise to Him, acknowledging that any offering is simply what has been given to them by GOD in the first place (as seen in verses 12-14). Note that wealth and honor come from GOD, and He is the ruler of all, which ties into the idea that all gifts and resources are ultimately His. Therefore, because GOD created and owns everything, He is to be honored, praised and glorified by all His creation. Hallelujah!!

Sovereign Heavenly FATHER, we stand in awe of Your greatness, power, glory, and majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours. We recognize that Yours is the kingdom, and You are exalted as Head over all. Thank You for Your sovereignty, for power and might that is in Your hands to make great and give strength to all. We give You thanks and praise Your glorious name. In JESUS' Great and Mighty Name, we pray, Amen.
