Job 1:21
“The LORD gives and the LORD takes away; may the NAME of the LORD be praised.”
This phrase comes from the biblical story of Job, who said this after losing his family, livestock, and health. GOD is sovereign over all things, both blessings and hardships, and that one can still praise Him through suffering.
Prayer:
Like Job, I praise and bless You LORD GOD, my Heavenly FATHER, for all the good You’ve done and accomplished in and through my life. I am grateful and trusting in You my ABBA FATHER to remove this burden from me. I lay my life at the foot of the Cross of my Savior and Lord JESUS CHRIST…LORD, I give this heavy burden to You, and I trust You to carry it for me, to remove it from me. I offer You my highest praise for Your greatness. Strengthen my faith and make firm my resolve to give You all the honor and glory through the trials I’m going through. And even when I don’t understand Your ways, You have a plan and that You work all things for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Thank you, FATHER, for Your love, provisions, protection, and Your presence in my life. Please give me a deeper understanding of Your will that I may align my heart with Your divine purposes, in the majestic and righteous Name of JESUS, AMEN.
