Romans 8:25
"But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience."
GOD knows what He is doing. Everything happens on His timing and not our own. We have to have patience that we will find our purpose when the time is right. We cannot be upset when it doesn’t come, but rather look forward to the time that it will come and be grateful for what we have in the present. The LORD will reward you for your patience, and the reward will be even greater than we can ever imagine.
James 5:8
“You also must be patient. Keep your hopes high, for the day of the LORD’s coming is near.”
James 5:8 encourages believers to cultivate patience and strengthen their resolve. It uses the image of a farmer patiently waiting for the harvest to illustrate the need for believers to endure trials and tribulations with hope.
The verse emphasizes the importance of trusting in GOD’s timing and the ultimate victory that is coming with the LORD’s glorious return.
Prayer:
Dear FATHER, help me to be patient and to trust in Your timing. As I reflect on the example of the farmer who patiently waits for the harvest, help me to cultivate a spirit of patience in my own life. Strengthen my heart and mind, that I might not give in to impatience or despair during times of waiting. I pray that I might have a steadfast faith, knowing that You are always at work, even when I cannot see it. Help me to recognize the nearness of Your coming and to live with a sense of urgency and purpose. May I be a witness of Your faithfulness and patience, and may my heart be filled with hope in Your very great and precious your promise, in JESUS’ Name. Amen.
