John 8:12
JESUS states, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life."

This verse highlights JESUS' claim to be the source of spiritual illumination and guidance, promising those who follow Him a life free from the darkness of sin and spiritual ignorance.  “Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness…” -This emphasizes the transformative power of following JESUS, promising a life guided by His truth and presence. “But will have the light of life…” -JESUS promises a life of spiritual illumination and eternal life to those who follow Him. —The symbolism of light in the passage connects to the concept of salvation, eternal life knowledge, and GOD’s presence. The light of JESUS empowers  believers to turn away from sin, and spiritual ignorance. —The "I am" statement echoes GOD’s revelation to Moses in Exodus 3:14, further emphasizing JESUS’ divinity and His claim to be the ultimate source of truth and salvation.

Prayer:
"Dear Lord JESUS, I come before You, even as I acknowledge, You as the Light of the world. I thank You for guiding me and illuminating my path. Help me to follow You closely, that I may not wander in darkness but may have the light of life. Grant me the wisdom and strength to live in Your light and to avoid the darkness of temptation and sin. Fill me with your HOLY SPIRIT, that I may be a light to others and reflect Your love and grace. In Your mighty and powerful Name, Amen.
