1 John 5:4
“For whatever is born of GOD overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.”
How much time do we spend wallowing in our own self-pity, groaning about things with which we struggle daily...so much so that we allow our difficulties to identify us, it becomes who we are! The enemy would love nothing more than to keep us focused on our disabilities, limitations and our struggles, so that we are distracted from the calling of GOD on our lives. He wants us to have a "victim mentality.”
But beloved, let us be reminded today: in CHRIST JESUS, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,
a people belonging to GOD. We are sons and daughters of the Most High. The KING of Glory has not only redeemed us—He has invited us to put on our new identity as His new creation. We are not victims but we are co-heirs with JESUS CHRIST.
SO, let us rise with a victor’s mindset. Let us walk in the fullness of our calling, shake off the labels of the past, even the challenges that confront us today, and let us take our rightful seat at the our KING’s table—confident in who we are in CHRIST JESUS.
Prayer:
Dear ABBA FATHER, I come to You today to acknowledge my inheritance as a joint heir with JESUS CHRIST. I believe that because I have placed my faith in Him, I am now a part of Your Royal Family, and I have been given access to all the benefits, blessings and privileges that are His. I am an heir of Your eternal kingdom, and I will share in Your glory. Help me to live in a way that honors Your great Name and reflects the joy and purpose You have given me. I am grateful for Your grace and Your love, and I embrace my inheritance as a joint heir with CHRIST. In JESUS’ mighty Name, Amen.
