Hebrews 10:39
"But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.”
This powerful verse is a beacon of hope and a reminder that our journey of faith is not one of retreat, but of steadfast perseverance. The phrase "shrink back" speaks to a turning away from faith, a faltering in our commitment, a giving up on GOD and the promises of GOD. The verse contrasts this with the true path of faith, which is one of steadfastness, trust, and perseverance, leading to the salvation of our souls. GOD’s promises are not fleeting or unreliable. His promises are a foundation upon which we can build our lives, and we should not waver in our trust, even when faced with trials and tribulations. We need to persevere. The journey of faith is not always easy. There will be times of doubt, fear, and uncertainty. But it is in these moments that we must cling to our faith, trusting in the LORD’s faithfulness and His very great and precious promises.
Prayer:
Heavenly FATHER, thank You for the assurance of Your love and the promise of salvation through faith in JESUS CHRIST. Help us to not shrink back in times of difficulty, but to persevere in our faith, trusting in Your promises and your guidance. Strengthen our faith, and help us to always remember that we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith to the saving of our souls. In JESUS’ Powerful Name, Amen.
