Matthew 11:28-30
JESUS said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
An invitation from JESUS…
This verse reminds us that when we are feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, we can find solace and peace by turning to JESUS, accepting His yoke which is "easy" and His burden which is "light." - JESUS says, "I will help you out with your problems. I will help carry your load…He says, "My yoke is easy and My burden is light".
JESUS provides the strength necessary for people to respond. He invites everyone who is tired of trying to carry the load to come get in the yoke with Him.
Prayer:
"Dear LORD JESUS, I come to You today, weary and burdened by the weight of my life. I surrender my worries and anxieties to You, and I choose to take Your yoke upon me. Teach me Your ways, for You are gentle and humble at heart. Give me the rest that only You can provide, a rest that is deep and true. In Your Holy Name, Amen."
