Proverbs 19:21
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”
We make plans for our lives that we don’t realize it’s going to lead to this or that. And so in the end we make some foolish plans. It is good to know that, like Proverbs 19:21 says, it’s the purpose of the LORD that will prevail. That GOD’s purpose, He doesn’t flounder, He has all knowledge, He has all perspective, He never has done or will do anything that’s foolish. Never! He’s all wise.
It’s good to know that it’s only the purpose of the all wise GOD that will stand. So that should lead us then to pray and just submit our plans to His ultimate purpose. GOD is all wise, all good, everything He does is good and His purposes will be accomplished. And we should be thankful. We are so thankful because His purpose is good, it is good because it brings Him glory and it is good because He is all grace and His grace is good for all of us.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly FATHER, we yield our plans to You today, we lay our plans down and we pray have Your way. Have Your way in our lives, have Your way in our families, have Your way in our churches, have Your way with us in every way and every day. And LORD, teach me Your ways and help me discern Your paths for my life. I have so many plans and schemes, but I know if they are not from You they will not stand. Lead me, LORD to Your wisdom and I will not only seek to know it, but also seek to live it by the power of Your HOLY SPIRIT, that we might live in relationship with You that will last forever, for all eternity. We are so thankful that, Your purpose will stand. In the great and powerful Name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen!
