John 11:25-26
25 “JESUS said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”
1 Peter 1:3
3 “Praise be to the GOD and FATHER of our Lord JESUS CHRIST! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.”
We humble ourselves in gratitude for JESUS’ innocent blood shed for our behalf.
And most gloriously, we rejoice at CHRIST’s victory over sin, death and the grave!
CHRIST’s victory is our victory.
Our debts are paid, and tarnished records are wiped clean before a just, holy and righteous GOD!
The resurrection of JESUS CHRIST means that we will be raised like Him. CHRIST is described as the firstfruits from the resurrection from the dead, meaning that His resurrection is a precursor of the resurrection that all believers will experience.
JESUS’ resurrection from the dead is the greatest miracle in all of human history!
The power of the resurrection enables a Christian to live by faith. JESUS said, Have faith in GOD (Mark 11:22).
Romans 8:11
“And if the SPIRIT of Him who raised JESUS from the dead is living in you, He who raised CHRIST from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His SPIRIT, who lives in you.”
The resurrection of JESUS CHRIST gives us power to live the life of CHRIST JESUS here and now, for the glory of GOD!
Prayer:
ABBA FATHER, thank You for sending Your one and only son to us to rescue and save us from sin, death and Satan. May we be encouraged to live like CHRIST with great hope, resilient faith, and a steadfast hope before a sin-stained, corrupt and wicked world. Use us LORD and empower us with Your SPIRIT to be light to those in darkness, that we may be effective in depopulating hell and help to populate heaven with souls that JESUS died for. In JESUS matchless Name. Amen.
