Matthew 5:8
The Bible says, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see GOD.”
One must first be born again, then live a life with complete dependence and trust in the HOLY SPIRIT’s in-dwelling and power as we begin to enjoy the benefits of GOD’s gift of eternal life in CHRIST JESUS. GOD’s SPIRIT helps us to recognize sin in our lives, renounce sin and repent of sin.
GOD’s plan for us is that we become perfectly pure, or completely clean. He wants us to be pure so He can bless us with Eternal Life, which includes an abundance and fulness of life, joy and a completeness of power to help us as we in turn help others. The pursuit of purity then, is the most important pursuit of our life. It is something that should be on top of our daily existence and priorities. Purity honors and pleases our Savior and GOD our FATHER.
Prayer:
ABBA FATHER, I recall the prayer of King David in Psalms 51:10 “Create in me a pure heart, O GOD, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” That’s also my prayer, and thank You for blessing me with Your SPIRIT. With His help my desire and goal is to live a pure life in every way and at all times. I pray this in the Holy Name of JESUS. Amen.
