1 Timothy 1:5
“Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.”
As the redeemed children of GOD our FATHER, don’t we all want our lives to be marked by love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and from sincere faith? Do we take on the example of CHRIST by His unselfish care, compassion, affection, desire for the good of others, commitment to the good of others, love that issues from a pure heart? Do we have a pure heart? Not an impure heart. But a heart that is pure in motive and thought and desire. What about having a good conscience? Don’t we want a good conscience before the LORD? A conscience that’s aligned with His Word and His SPIRIT and sincere faith. Not a fake faith, not doubting faith, not a fraudulent faith, not even a wavering or weak faith, but a full, sincere, genuine, deep and trusting faith. —Are we daily challenged, and inspired, thankful, motivated and passionate for the things that make our hearts pure, having a good conscience with a sincere faith that honors and pleases our Savior and soon coming King JESUS? GOD has given us everything we need for life and godliness. We can choose to be CHRIST-like in all things and in every way.
Prayer:
Dear ABBA FATHER, we desire and want these things that we see in Your Word. We pray for these things in our lives. We also pray for these things in others lives around us, as we think about own family, friends, our brothers and sisters in CHRIST…Maybe people we are in discipleship with, building relationships with, for people in our fellowship gatherings, and our co-laborers together in the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST. Grant that each of us be found with a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith in JESUS’ powerful Name. Amen.
