ISAIAH 64:8-9
8-Yet you, LORD, are our FATHER. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
9-Do not be angry beyond measure, LORD; do not remember our sins forever.
Oh, look on us, we pray,
for we are all your people.
People are just like the clay, in that humans are made from the dust of this earth, filled with water and blood, and given life and purpose by GOD. As believers, you and I must allow GOD’s HOLY SPIRIT to be in our life on a daily basis. Let’s allow Him to moisten our life so that you and I may be molded and shaped into what GOD wants. During this time of molding, sometimes it may be painful and not make any sense, just like the clay on a potter’s wheel looks at first. GOD will take out some rough edges in your life and mine, and smoothen those areas with His divine touch as needed to please Himself. The LORD is molding us to be just like JESUS. We are to be in the image of CHRIST JESUS and are a work in progress.
—Many grow cold and dry up, not enjoying the pain and molding the SPIRIT of GOD is doing, so not allowing GOD to mold them. They refuse to be what ABBA GOD wants them to be.
What about you today?
Are you the clay that is allowing the LORD to mold?
Or are you dried up, refusing to be molded?
—ABBA GOD has a great picture in mind for what you and I are to look like. Let us give Him the liberty to mold us today into the kind of person He wants us to be.
Prayer:
ABBA FATHER, thank You that You continue to mold us daily and fashion us to become more and more like JESUS CHRIST, Your Son. May You always find us in Your will even as You make us, mold us, transform us and use us in advancing the good news of salvation until all have heard. In the gracious Name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
