2 TIMOTHY 4:3
“For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.”
This text is a warning from GOD through the Apostle Paul to all who confess to believe in JESUS CHRIST by faith.
In our world today many are walking away from sound truth that is found in the Word of GOD for a lie that tickles the ear because it feel good and is what they want to hear. If there ever was a time to stand on biblical truth, it is in these perilous times in which we now live for the days are evil, the evil spirit of satan is running rampant in the earth through the hearts and minds of those who have rejected GOD and His Word of truth, and the enemy is wrecking havoc as he enters through ALL open doors.
The good news today is the fact that GOD is not concerned about scratching our itching ears for the things and pleasures of this world, but His goal is to transform our mind through the washing of the Word of GOD with the end results of becoming new creatures in CHRIST JESUS with renewed minds that are daily conforming to His likeness.
ROMANS 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what GOD’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Prayer:
ABBA GOD, thank You for giving us Your Word. Only through Your Word can the HOLY SPIRIT empower us to have the mind of CHRIST, be in CHRIST, and live like CHRIST. —In CHRIST JESUS You have given us freedom and godly wisdom to know and understand Your commands, Your teachings, Your will and purpose for our lives. Protect us LORD from the deceptions, lies and manipulations of the devil. We ask this in the Mighty Name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
