Colossians 3:16
“Let the Word of CHRIST dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to GOD.”
The Word reminds us that in having the Word of CHRIST richly dwelling within us then with all wisdom we are to be teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. -Wisdom is the ability to take knowledge and apply it to life. There are many people who suffer from having a lot of knowledge but without wisdom. This kind expose themselves as educated fools because they had amassed a lot of knowledge but could not do anything practical with what they knew. The LORD wants us to take the knowledge we gain from His Word and apply it to real life. Not just our life, but also the lives of others because we are part of His body and we are to help one another walk with Him. Again, that is the third point in the Great Commission. We are to help one another walk in obedience to the commands of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. We are to apply the knowledge we have gained from the Word of CHRIST richly dwelling within us even as we help one another walk in a manner worthy of our calling by Him. It matters that we listen carefully to what the Word is saying, learn from what it says, and put it into practice!
GOD’s Word matters!
Prayer:
Heavenly FATHER, give us faith to receive Your Word, and give us understanding to know what it means, and the will to put it into practice. Through faith in JESUS CHRIST our Lord…We thank You for the gift of Your holy Word. May it be a light to our feet, a lamp to our paths, and strength to our lives. In JESUS amazing Name, Amen.
