1 CORINTHIANS 1-3
“Grace and peace to you from GOD our FATHER and the LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
Grace is an “enabling power”
from GOD. It enables the “grace” recipient to do and to be what he or she cannot do and cannot be if left to his or her own means. All of us need such an enabling power. Grace is the spontaneous, unmerited gift of the divine favour in the great salvation of sinners, and the divine power operating in the believers’ lives for their regeneration and their progressive sanctification.
By His grace we are no longer condemned by GOD. Through the same grace we are forgiven, transforming our thinking that results in the renewal of our mind and heart. Through grace in CHRIST JESUS, we live the kind of life that the LORD would like every one of His children to experience. Grace is always accompanied by peace from GOD and the LORD JESUS CHRIST. It’s life-transforming!!
Prayer:
Throughout my life, I have come to You in time of hardship and You have never let me down. Thank You, that the length and breadth and height and depth of Your grace is beyond my understanding, and that Your perfect peace is beyond my comprehension, and yet You provide both grace and peace to all whose mind is stayed on You. LORD, I pray that in my weakness I would know Your strength, in my sadness I would know You joy, in my pain I would know Your healing touch, and in these hard and difficult times, I pray that I would know Your amazing grace and Your perfect peace deep within my soul. This I ask in JESUS' perfect Name, Amen.
