WHY THANKSGIVING
The beautiful thing about THANKSGIVING is that GOD invites us into His presence with THANKSGIVING for all His goodness and kindness and all that HE is to us.
THANKSGIVING should not be confined to a once a year observance but a year long practice to a child of GOD.
The Psalmist knew the importance of THANKSGIVING when entering the temple for worship. PSALM 95:2 says “Come into His presence with THANKSGIVING.”
PHILIPPIANS 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with THANKSGIVING, present your requests to GOD.”
In this verse, THANKSGIVING is not just the attitude we are supposed to have when we seek GOD for our needs, but it is the gateway where ones’s anxiety in whatever situation is replaced with faith in CHRIST JESUS.
THANKSGIVING is the proper attitude of a grateful heart for a life worth living because of what JESUS has accomplished on the cross for undeserving people like us. Does your life reflect the change that’s brought about by the life, death and resurrection
of CHRIST? For in Him we live and move and have our being!
