As International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted (IDOP) approaches on November 1, we have been encouraged to see so many churches and ministry leaders respond.
This year, we are combining prayer with action on IDOP Sunday by raising funds with a goal of supporting 4,000 persecuted Christians with emergency aid, trauma care, Gospel resources, and other forms of holistic support.
If you are a pastor or church leader, will you invite your congregation or small group to stand with the persecuted through a special IDOP offering? This creates a simple way for your congregation or small group to support our persecuted brothers and sisters in a tangible way.
For Christians facing persecution, that tangible support can be a powerful reminder that they are not alone. Consider Vikram, who refused to deny Christ even when his entire village turned against him. Through the generosity of supporters, we were able to come alongside Vikram with food assistance, blankets, and encouragement during this difficult season.
Your church’s IDOP offering can help us come alongside more believers like Vikram as they remain faithful in the face of persecution.
