Walking with the Persecuted Faithful: ChinaAid’s Latest Updates

Join us as we walk with the persecuted faithful. This week, the unveiling of human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng’s statue reinvigorates the continued search for answers. A brave Christian lawyer is pressured to cancel his law practicing license. A father releasing a heartbreaking video pleading for his son’s justice. And lawyer Xie Yang receives a shocking five-year sentence after already being detained over 1,530 days.

Together we stand with the persecuted, exposing injustices and safeguarding the vulnerable. Your partnership makes this vital work possible. Thank you for joining us in this urgent mission.

This is Resistance (California)

On April 4, a ceremony was held at Liberty Sculpture Park in California to mark the completion of a statue of human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng (高志晟). Dr. Bob Fu spoke at the unveiling, honoring Gao Zhisheng, who has long stood with persecuted believers. He reminded everyone that human rights are God-given and therefore are non-negotiable. He admonished world leaders that no trade deals, tariff negotiations, and economic partnerships should move forward while innocent people continue to disappear into darkness. Continue Reading…

A Lawyer’s Courage (Beijing)

Li Xiaoming, a Christian believer and lawyer in Beijing, received approval to transfer firms, only to learn the new firm had been warned it could fail its inspection if it accepted him. Pressured to cancel his license, he stood firm in faith and entrusted his career to God. A member of a Beijing-Zion house church, he has spent years defending persecuted believers and quietly sharing Bibles among fellow lawyers. His words carry a simple trust that the Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Continue Reading…

A Father’s Enduring Hope (Kazakhstan)

In a quiet village in Kazakhstan, an elderly father released a short video asking for justice for his son, who has been detained for more than five months after a peaceful protest linked to events in Xinjiang. He shared his concern about pressure in detention without a lawyer present and wondered when their country would see real justice. The family’s needs are great. Continue Reading…

Standing Firm (Beijing)

A coordinated pressure has reached leaders of a Beijing-Zion house church, and now it reaches the lawyers who defend them. Speaking on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins, Dr. Bob Fu shared how authorities are making it harder for legal professionals to help, cutting off communication with families. Lawyers who chose to represent the detained individuals now face disbarment. This echoes earlier challenges, yet the believers keep turning to God. Continue Reading…

A Defender’s Resolve (Hunan)

In Hunan, Xie Yang (谢阳), a Chinese rights lawyer, received a five-year sentence after more than four years already spent in detention for his defense work. He immediately filed an appeal, showing his commitment to seeking justice. Family members were able to sit in the courtroom that day, a rare and precious moment of connection. He has already spent more than 1,530 days and nights behind bars. Continue Reading…

Pray With Us

  • In faith, we declare that Gao Zhisheng will be returned to his family. Comfort his wife, Geng He, and his children, Geng Ge and Gao Tianyu.
  • Father, we thank you for Li Xiaoming’s witness. We thank you for every Bible he has distributed. We pray you strengthen his resolve and provide a future for him and his family.
  • Lord, we plead for swift justice for Nurmukhan Arystan and his son, Bakytnur Nurmukhan. We pray his video appeal will reach the international community and world leaders.
  • Father, continue to uphold the Beijing Zion Church family and all lawyers defending them. We pray for divine strategy and wisdom to fight these cases in a just court.
  • Lord, we pray for a drastic change of heart for the judges presiding over Xie Yang’s case. We pray in the upcoming appeal that justice will prevail. Open the eyes of the judge and the courts to recognize their injustice.

"May the Lord remember the tears and prayers of Zion Church before Him and the unity of all His churches. “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” (1 Corinthians 12:26) May we suffer together, hope together, and be glorified together in the Lord. Amen!”
