ChinaAid has released its 2025 Annual Report on Religious Freedom in China—the report documents a profound shift: China’s governance of religion has moved beyond periodic crackdowns into full-scale institutional restructuring. Normal worship—house-church gatherings, Bible distribution, online sermons—is now systematically reframed as illegal, a national-security threat, or ideological deviation.
Through revised laws, advanced surveillance, and forced “Party-ization” of religion, the state is reshaping how faith is practiced, organized, and expressed. Worship outside state-approved channels has become, in effect, non-compliance—punishable by pressure, restriction, or worse.

We urgently ask you to:
- Read the full 2025 Annual Report: https://chinaaid.short.gy/report-2025
Download it, study it, and share it widely with your friends, family, church, small groups, and networks.
- Pray intentionally for the persecuted—by name, in your homes and small groups. Their stories are in the report; let their courage strengthen your intercession.
Dear Respected Journalists: We urge you to use your platforms and voice to expose these systematic violations and advocate boldly for the persecuted. Government officials: Hold the Chinese government accountable. Demand answers, apply targeted pressure, and defend the universal right to freedom of belief.
This is not a distant issue—it is the defining human-rights challenge of our time. Believers in China are paying a steep price simply for worshiping faithfully. We need all hands on deck: watching, reading, sharing, praying, speaking, and acting.
Thank you for standing with the persecuted church in China.
