Reflections from Pastor John Cao

Mar. 27th trial for Chen Wensheng
The trial for Christian evangelist Chen Wensheng occurred on March 27th. While we are still awaiting further news, our media team reported on how Chen told his wife that he had been spreading the Gospel to others in the detention center and desired to be sent to another facility to keep spreading the Good News.

Pray for Chen, his family, and his persecutors.  

Christian ministers face 5 year sentence
The Xi'an Church of Abundance released a prayer request letter on March 25th, detailing how Pastor Lian Changnian and two co-workers face a suggested sentence of five years behind bars for the charge of "fraud," according to prosecutors. Here's why CCP officials have harshly cracked down against this church since July 2022.

Limited freedom to retrieve ashes
The daughter of human rights lawyer Tang Jitian passed away in Japan on February 20th, and officials blocked Tang from attending the funeral. After appeals, officials did allow Tang to travel to a different town with 'limited freedom' to pick up her ashes mailed from Japan on March 20th. Here's Tang's reflections on the tragic circumstances.

Concerns about jailed preacher 
72-year-old house church Preacher Song Yude has been detained since July 2023 with other church members. Reports are Preacher Song has developed a hernia and has a worrying health condition. Here's how Preacher Song's church stood by the Bible and faced persecution from the Chinese Communist Party.
