Family blocked from seeing Xu Zhiyong
Well-known human rights defender Xu Zhiyong, who was sentenced to 14 years in jail in April 2023, was sent to Lunan Prison in Shandong Province after a second trial. His family has been blocked from seeing him for nearly two months. Officials claim they are waiting for approval from higher officials to permit a prisoner visit.

Pray for Dr. Xu, his family, and their persecutors. 

Zhengzhou priest approved for consecration
Our media team reported on the approval by Pope Francis for Taddeo Wang Yuesheng, the president of the Henan province Patriotic Association, to be consecrated as bishop of the Zhengzhou Diocese. Here's why the appointment process likely involves collaboration between the CCP and the Chinese Catholic Church.

Two months of safety for Yang Hai
About two months ago on December 22nd, 2023, Tiananmen student leader Yang Hai safely landed in the United States to reunite with his family, after urgent intervention by the U.S. State Department. More on why Yang was separated from his wife and daughter for 11+ years.

Pray for Yang and family as they reunite after years apart.  

Baby shower for Mayflower Church ladies
Last Saturday, many within the Midland/Odessa community celebrated a baby shower for Mayflower members Phebe and Joyce! Phebe is due in mid-March and Joyce is due in April. Please keep these families in your prayers! Check out some photos from the event.

Mayflower members start English classes
Also this week, 11 Mayflower members started their first English classes with the help of teacher volunteers and Burlington English resources. Here's a photo of the adults hard at work during the class! We're so thankful for the support of so many who have a heart to empower the Mayflower.
