Printing "Illegal" Sunday School Items
We reported this week that Hong Kong Christian Chen Yueli was taken by police whe he entered China on December 19th. Chen was charged with "illegal business operations" for printing children's Sunday School materials. So far, his lawyer has not been able to meet or visit with him and Chen's family worries about his health.

Pray for Chen, his family, legal team, and their persecutors.

Three Christians taken in Guanzhou 
On January 21st, the Sunday service of Guangzhou Bible Reformed Church, Xinhui District branch, was raided by police. Four Christians were taken by police and there's no news right now about their condition. It's the second time so far in 2024 that Guangzhou Bible Reformed, a faithful house church, has been raided.

Pray for all Guangzhou Bible Reformed members and their persecutors. 

Court impedes Chang Hao's lawyer
The defense lawyer of jailed house church preacher Chang Hao has been unable to duplicate case materials when trying to represent his client. Lawyer Yuan Mao was told by the judge that investigative officials believed lawyers should not be able to duplicate materials in this case.

Pray for Preacher Chang, Lawyer Yuan, and their persecutors. 

Christians detained for leading children
A January 18th prayer letter details how three Christians from the Fuyang Maizhong Reformed Church were taken by police when they were leading children in singing hymns and prayers. Each was given a 15-day detention. It's now the third time since September 2023 that police have detained members from this congregation.

Pray for these three Christians who were taken, and their persecutors. 

Zhejiang officials persecute people of faith
New regulations regarding the governance of religious activity venues in Zhejiang province went into effect on Feb. 1st. Notably, one article requires religious activity venues to "uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China." Our full report on the measures.

Pray for all believers in Zhejiang, and their persecutors. 

Suzihou house church deemed a 'cult' 
Officials have harshly persecuted a small house church in Suizhou, Hubei province since last summer. Several Christans have been arrested and the church has been labeled as a cult. Defense lawyers believe officials are persecuting this group due to their refusal to join the government-backed church.

Pray for all of these house church believers, and their persecutors.
