Nigeria (International Christian Concern) — Despite appealing personally to state leaders, Christians of Kaduna State in Nigeria continue to face malicious terrorist attacks from Fulani militants.

Christian leaders in Kaduna recently met with the state’s new police commissioner, Musa Garba, and other senior officers according to news outlets and Elizabeth Kendal’s Religious Liberty Prayer Bulletin.

“The Christian leaders told the police that attacks by militant Fulani herdsmen and Islamic terrorists have resulted in the killing of 23 pastors, the abduction of 215 Christians still in captivity, and the closure of 200 church worship buildings” in the last four years, said Kendal.

Three days after the meeting, however, militant Fulani herdsmen attacked Dogon Noma village in predominantly Christian Southern Kaduna’s Kajuru local government area.

Nigerian media reported that two residents had been killed, at least four were abducted, and many more were wounded. Other media outlets, however, including Morning Star News, confirmed that 15 Christians had been killed and 32 abducted.

HOW TO PRAY: Pray for the government to provide adequate safety measures. Pray for comfort for those who are grieving. Pray for healing for the injured. Pray that God will move Christians worldwide to pray fervently for their besieged Christian brothers and sisters, and that the nations of the world will pressure Nigeria to protect all its people. — J.
