Lawyer Gao: six years of silence
ChinaAid and a number of other organizations called for the release of human rights attorney Gao Zhisheng on the sixth anniversary of his disappearance on August 13th, 2017. Gao's wife Geng He has continually advocated for him from the United States. Here's why stopping the practice of enforced disappearance is so vital.

Pray for Lawyer Gao, his family, and his persecutors.

Shengjia Church elder arrested
Police arrested an elder of Shengjia Church under the charge of "illegal business operations," the fifth member of the congregation to be taken in by police. The family of Elder Zhu Longfei received an arrest notice on August 10th. Elder Zhu is held in the same detention center as his sister and brother. Read Shengjia Church's prayer request to the global Church.

Pray for Shengjia Church attendees, Elder Zhu and family, and their persecutors.

Pastor Ru Zongren cuffed to hospital bed

He was bound for nearly five hours and officials refused pleading from his family to remove the handcuffs. Read about Pastor Ru's fervent devotion to the Lord and life of faithful ministry.

Pray for Pastor Ru, Chengxi Church members, and their persecutors.

UN calls for release of Lu Siwei
UN experts called for the release of Lawyer Lu Siwei from detention in Laos and noted how "we fear Mr. Lu Siwei is at risk of imminent deportation to China, where there are substantial grounds to believe that he would be in danger of being subjected to irreparable harm upon return, on account of torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment." The Washington Post Editorial Board also wrote about Lawyer Lu in a piece titled 'China Will Hunt You Down.'

Pray for Lawyer Lu and his family.
