Christians in Iraq Still at Risk from Militants

Although security forces have recaptured much of ISIS-held territory throughout Iraq and Syria, this does not mean that ISIS is gone.  Rather than having an organized group with stationed headquarters, they are now dispersing into smaller groups that are spreading farther out.  However, US airstrikes continue to destabilize them as ISIS has little means of escape from these airstrikes.  Another factor that may be further hurting their cohesion is the report of “dissent and infighting within the ranks and low morale plaguing the organization.”
