(Huludao, Liaoning—Dec. 22, 2017) Religious affairs bureau agents and police officers arrested a Christian woman in late November, and her whereabouts are still unknown, ChinaAid recently learned.
The officials broke into a church in Huludao, Liaoning, last month and used their vehicles to confiscate copies of the Bible, psalms, chairs, and other church property. During the raid, an unidentified Christian woman was taken into custody, and she has since disappeared.
In addition, a church in Jiangmen, Guangdong, was recently banned, and its congregants were forbidden from attending its services.
ChinaAid exposes abuses, such as those suffered by the church members in Huludao, in order to stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians and promote religious freedom, human rights, and rule of law.
