Bajrang Dal activists near Satna town in India’s Madhya Pradesh state recently accused Christmas carolers of “forced conversion.” More than 30 religious authorities were detained after this event and “one priest was also arrested under the state’s anti-conversion law.” According to some of the Christians who were released the next day, they were allegedly beaten by a right-wing group at the police station. This allegation has been denied by both the police and the Bajrang Dal activists.
