John 5:1-9

Some time later, Bible tells-Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews

Some said, he is a good man, some said he is prophet, many were the views

This was the time when the ministry of Jesus, boomed all across the nation

Yes, Jesus moved every where, filled with the spirit and great compassion!!

Thousands of brokenhearted in his ministry were blessed and healed

He manifested the kingdom of God, to everyone, nothing was concealed

Crowd followed him with great zeal, faith, curiosity and deep devotion

And Jesus was making their lives blessed & dynamic in perfect motion!!

Now there at Jerusalem by the sheep market, so beautiful was a pool

Gushing waters and surrounds nearby made it more fascinating & cool

which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having porches five

There laid a great multitude of sick people waiting in water to dive

For in appointed time angel of God came & troubled the water for healing

Person who first stepped in the water,was made whole, twas divine dealing

Many invalids, lame, paralyzed and hopeless and withered and blind

Waited for the angel to come so that in due time, wholeness they'd find!!

Remember, when will the stream will be troubled no one exactly knew

They had to be vigilant every time, I believe, Such people were very few

Are you vigilant all the time dear friend whether it may be nights or days

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation, Jesus always says!!

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years

He must have tried for many times to step in but failed, awful were his fears

When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case

He so compassionately & gracefully came to him and conversed, face to face!!

And he said to him, Wilt thou be made whole? I will do whatever I can

With tears in his eyes, the impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man

To put me into the pool: while I am coming, another steppeth down before me

And all situations, pity and indescribable pain to Jesus, clearly described He!!

He did not realize that he was waiting for the Bethesda pool to be shaken

But, pool of living waters himself came there for his illness to be taken

He possibly was the most senior and experienced ill fated patient there

But doctor of all doctors came there personally to give him his blissful care!!

For thirty eight long-long years, at the pool of Bethesda he helplessly laid

He had not a single man to take care, O' but price himself had come to be paid

His price was no one but Jesus who said to him-Rise, take up thy bed, and walk

And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and did walk!!

Do you think that this story of Bethesda here is gracefully concluded?

No, the story begins here in fact, many more observations are included

I still am amazed for those sick people who saw him healed walked

Why didn't they run and cried out to Jesus? No one to him went & talked!!

They could have said- Jesus! We've seen your glory, you can do the same

Please come in our lives too, yesterday, today and forever, you are the same

Friends, often we see millions are saved and healed by his power everyday

Do we go to him saying- Jesus! You can alone turn back my joy and gay!!

One very important revelation my dear friends about the Bethesda pool

No doubt, it was marvelous, awesome, majestic, blessed and so cool

But in this blessed pool of Bethesda we see the survival of the fittest

Those were only healed who had helpers, supporters and who did the best!!

Pool of Bethesda is bound with a cruel ruthless condition- Who is first!

No place for those was here who because of disability, came afterwards

O' How glorious is the pool of the blood of Jesus that is shaken every time

Not the first but whosoever steps in this pool finds place blessed and prime!!
