Australia - My name is Gail and I co-ordinate the Persecuted Prayer group in Darwin along with two helping friends Rob and Helen. I am a secondary teacher working with aboriginal/indigenous students. I was converted in India after looking into yoga, Buddhism, the Koran and Krishnamurti in 1972. I then attended Bible school with 12 Indian students in Bangalore India for one year, and then attended Melbourne Bible Institute for 2 years in 1976. Our Australian House of Prayer is in Darwin, in tropical Northern Australia. We live adjacent to Timor and Indonesia and such geographical location makes us very aware of the Muslim world and the terrible ordeals of the people in Sulawesi. The group meets monthly at the home of Rob and Helen every second Wednesday night 7.30-9pm. Every 3 months we meet at a church in an attempt to awaken others to the need of supporting brothers and sisters who are in prison, or living in danger for the Lord Jesus Christ.
