TERRY HOLDERREAD

January 30, 1948 – June 17, 2007

Image Brother Terry and I have known each other for the last seven years. It was ordained of the Lord for our paths to meet.

The first time I saw Brother Terry, I remember him coming to my book table to express his appreciation for my passion for the suffering church as well as for lost souls.

Not long after we met, the Lord led him to call me at a very critical time when I was going through some major challenges in the ministry. It was during our phone conversation when the Holy Spirit ignited something between Brother Terry and me. After praying together, I knew in my heart that Brother Terry was God-sent to encourage and assist me as well as the persecuted Church. And the rest is history. Brother Terry wanted nothing but to bring praise, honor and glory to God.

Brother Terry made it known to everyone that he was a man that loved God, his wife Judy and their three sons, Brad, Ryan and Adam. He was a proud and happy husband, father and grandfather.

Brother Terry joined Christians In Crisis International and became a major instrument in raising awareness and prayer focus to the plight of suffering Christians. It was during his tenure as CIC’s Director of Administration and Special Projects that CIC’s ministry was enlarged and placed on the world map through the use of the Internet. Brother Terry was tireless in his work and he knew no limits as he brilliantly stirred CIC to become actively involved in the cause of the suffering Church on a global scale. Brother Terry was a fighter and a champion in the Body of Christ.  His extensive work at CIC reached and blessed untold numbers of Christians in today’s world.

Brother Terry greatly impacted my life with his passion to pray. He loved praying and working for the betterment of Christians in difficult situations. Even when he faced physical challenges, Brother Terry remained steadfast and unrelenting in his commitment to God and HIS children.

We at CIC will miss Brother Terry…and I know that many in the body of Christ will miss him too.  And we thank and praise the Lord for granting us at CIC the privilege to have shared a portion of Brother Terry’s life. Our hearts and thanks also go to Judy, Brother Terry’s wife, for allowing and supporting Brother Terry in his work for CIC and the suffering Church. Our hearts are heavy with grief, but our spirits rejoice in knowing that Brother Terry is in the best place with all the saints that have gone before us and best of all with the ONE whom he served so well – JESUS CHRIST – the reason why Brother Terry served so excellently! May his life example serve to inspire us to pray more and assist the persecuted Church.
