Violent Clash in Nigeria Results in Twelve Deaths and Many Injuries

Unconfirmed reports stated that 12 people died and several houses were set ablaze in Kauwan Magani village following a brutal conflict between Muslim and Christian youth in the community. Another unspecified number of people were also said to have sustained injuries as the youth engaged each other with weapons. Commuters on the highway connecting Plateau, Nasarawa, and Benue states were stranded after the incident and residents reportedly fled their homes to safe areas as a result.
